PAULINE WU SEID

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. Pauline Wu Seid died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at her home in North Andover, Mass. She was 69.

Born in China, Mrs. Seid was a registered nurse and had co-owned and operated Wilbert’s Grocery Store in Vicksburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Y. Seid.

She is survived by three daughters, Helen J. Stump and Diana S. Kiesel, both of North Andover, and Linda S. Frembes of Douglas, Mass.; one brother, Peter Wu of Andover; a sister, Angela Chew of New York City; one granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dewhirst and Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St. in North Andover.

Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

ROSIE MAE WATKINS

Rosie Mae Watkins died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 96.

A homemaker, Mrs. Watkins was a member of Hickory Tree M.B. Church in Bovina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Watkins Sr.; two sons, Harry Watkins Jr. and Joe “Baby Joe” Watkins; two brothers, Ernest Davenport and Vernon Davenport; a sister, Lydia Smothers; and her parents, Sam Louis Davenport and Josephine Williams Davenport.

Survivors include one sister, Ida Bell Cross of Vicksburg; nieces; nephews; and other relatives, including Emma Beecham of Sacramento, Calif., James Cross of Compton, Calif.; Dr. Rosetta C. Gladney of Jackson; Lorene C. Tolliver and Ellis Cross, both of Edwards; and members of the Smothers family of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
