DOROTHY J. RILEY

Dorothy J. Riley died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at her home in Pattison. She was 70.

Mrs. Smith was a native and life-long resident of Pattison. She was retired as a U.S. Postal Service clerk for the Pattison post office. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Riley Jr.; her parents, A.B. and Mamie Jordan; and three brothers, Ladell Jordan, A.B. Jordan Jr. and Jeff Wade Jordan.

She is survived by one son, Robert Glen Riley of Pattison; two daughters, Linda Morgan of Hazlehurst and Sybil Barr of Pattison; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 3 today at Beech Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Gage Hynum and Marlon Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Visitation is at the church until the service.

RICHARD E. PRIEST

TALLULAH Richard E. “Dickey” Priest died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at his home. He was 65.

Mr. Priest was born in Andrews, S.C. He was the administrator of the Christian Acres correctional school and the CEO of Tyche Inc. He was also a cattleman and a member of the American Correctional Association.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Priest.

He is survived by his parents, George and Betty Priest of Tallulah; his wife, Carol Ann Causey Priest of Tallulah; four daughters, Carol Lenhart of Alexandria, Va., and Ashley Moberley, Ginny Marsh and Paige Priest, all of Tallulah; one sister, Sue Henke of St. Louis, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the family home from 5 until 7 tonight

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hicks, Dick Brown, Robert Charles Brown, Dalton Fortenberry, James Earl Shivers, Charles Grady, Louis Grady, Tommy Wixon, Bill Yerger, LeRoy Smith, Gary Jones, Howard Fountain, Chip Sullivan, Richard Harris and Jackie Varner.
