ANGELA MARIE JOHNSON.

LOS ANGELES Angela Marie Johnson died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, in Los Angeles. She was 34.

Ms. Johnson was born in Vicksburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Destiny Swift; two sons, Alex Swift and Allen Swift; her mother, Peggy L. Johnson Calbert; her father, James Johnson; three sisters, Gwendolyn Johnson, Janie Johnson and Virginia Johnson; and one brother, James Johnson Jr.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Prayer Assembly of God in Christ in Los Angeles. Burial will follow at Inglewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Solomon’s Mortuary in Los Angeles.

JOE P. MARSHALL.

LONG BEACH Joe P. Marshall died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in Long Beach. He was 63.

Mr. Marshall lived in Vicksburg for more than 30 years and had been a Long Beach resident for the past 12 years. He served as a baseball umpire for most of his life and was elected 2001 Umpire of the Year by the Mississippi High School Activity Association, Southern Region. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude H. and Elsie Pyron Marshall.

Survivors include two brothers, Charlton Marshall of Campbell, Calif., and Clayton Marshall of Diamondhead, Miss.; two sisters, Claudette Sprayberry of Villa Rica, Ga., and Rebecca Kelmell of Slidell, La.; an uncle; aunts; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 8 tonight at Riemann Funeral Home’s 25th Avenue Chapel in Gulfport. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Lexington.

NANCY JANE ROBINSON.

Nancy Jane Robinson died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 71.

Born in Calhoun City, Mrs. Robinson had lived in Vicksburg since 1960. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elmer and Effie Reynolds Smallwood; her husband, Tommie Robinson; and her brother, James C. Smallwood.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Hardy of Vicksburg; two sons, Larry Robinson of Charleston and Barry Robinson of Vicksburg; two brothers, William “Bill” Smallwood of Vicksburg and Paul Smallwood of Clinton; two sisters, Opel Adams of Chesaning, Mich., and Ola Rae Flint of Grenada; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home with Roger Cresswell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Allen Thomas, Larkey Rainey, Bubba Hardy, Danny Robinson, Tom Rainage and William Smallwood.

Honorary pallbearers will be Morris Ratliff, Michael Robinson, Sonny Edwards, Jimmy Fairchild and Doug Jones.

Memorials may be made to the Association for the Blind.
