DORA LEE COOK

OAK GROVE Dora Lee Cook died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Glenwood Medical Center. She was 83.

Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Cook, and her father, Ivy Robinson.

She is survived by one son, Ernest Lavon Cook of Oak Grove; four daughters, Grace Elizabeth Cook of Phoenix, Ariz., Barbara Nell Fuller of Vicksburg, Patricia Ann Parmentier of Rocky Mountain House, Canada, and Donna Kay McDonald of Patterson, La; two half-brothers, Ivy Ray Robinson and Pete Robinson, both of Oak Grove; one half-sister, Irma Ivy of Oak Grove; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Gayle Riles officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Cook, Ronnie Fuller, Corby Johnson, Kenneth Stanford, Donnie Daffron and Joey Collum.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Strong, Gary Bennett, Lavelle Hale and Tuffy Hale.

BESS N. DAVIDSON

Bess N. Davidson died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 91.

Mrs. Davidson was a graduate of the Street Sanitarium School of Nursing where she received a registered nurse’s degree in 1935.

She was a member of the Baptist church.

Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Bobbie Hogg of Hebron, Ind.; one son, Richard “Dick” Davidson of Vicksburg; one brother, Roger Nevels of Farmerville, Texas; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John G. McCall officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home Chapel from noon Monday until the service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

SAM DYKES JR.

Services for Sam Dykes Jr. will be at 11 a.m Monday at Williams Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Service from 3 until 5 p.m. today.

Mr. Dykes died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

He was employed with Aden Brothers Farms.

Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Dykes; his parents; a stepson, Jessie Hughes and a stepdaughter, Emma Lee White.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Alice Bailey of Vicksburg; a grandson, David Lee Burden Jr. of Vicksburg; two stepgrandsons, Co-wayne Dykes and Joe Dykes both of Vicksburg; a granddaughter, Patricia Bailey of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

CORNELIUS HENRY

JOHNSON JR.

Services for Cornelius “Tat” Henry Johnson Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jeffery Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Service Chapel throughout today.

Mr. Johnson died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center. He was 40.

Mr. Johnson was a member of First Baptist M.B. Church and was employed by Floyd Kelly Antiques.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Henry Johnson Sr., and a brother, Andrew Louis Johnson.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Johnson of Vicksburg; five brothers, Melvin Cooper, Joseph Johnson, Tommie Johnson, Edward Johnson all of Vicksburg and Terry Johnson of Jackson; three sisters, Patricia Cox of Vicksburg, Carol Cooper and Cheryl Wilson both of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and other relatives.
