Ralph Boyer

Ralph Boyer died Jan. 1, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.

Mr. Boyer was born in Preston, N.Y. He was a retired teacher and had lived in Vicksburg for several years.

Mr. Boyer served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a Protestant. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Boyer of Vicksburg; seven sons, David Boyer, Nathan P. Boyer and Scott Boyer, all of Binghamton, N.Y., Michael Boyer of Chicago, Kevin Boyer of Dryden, N.Y., Karl Boyer of Key Gardens, N.Y., and Marc Boyer of Nashville; three daughters, Diane Boyer and Michelle Boyer White, both of Binghamton, N.Y., and Ralphella Boyer of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Harry Boyer of Binghamton, N.Y., and Mahlon Boyer of Los Angeles; one sister, Elizabeth Reynolds of Saranac, N.Y.; and an aunt, Ella Lee Lincoln of Vicksburg.

A private service will be in Binghamton, N.Y.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements.
