[1/8/03]Warren Central’s bench proved to be too much for ex-St. Aloysius coach Noah Hamilton and Neshoba Central.

Hampered with illness and foul trouble, the Lady Vikes (8-9) got 11 points from Talisha Butler to lead a 56-49 win on Tuesday night. Brittany Banks and Aleshia Stamps, both reserves, each scored eight points as WC’s bench outscored Neshoba, 36-5.

“We were up to our eyeballs in fouls,” said WC coach Donny Fuller, who added that leading scorer Cookie Johnson only played about a quarter because of foul trouble.

Despite the fouls, Neshoba didn’t take advantage, shooting 19-for-44 from the free-throw line.

WC will host Natchez on Friday night at 6 p.m.
