Glenda Deason Bailey

Glenda Deason Bailey died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 61.

A resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Bailey was a 1960 graduate of Culkin Academy. She attended Hinds Community College. She was an artist, having won several awards with the Vicksburg Art Association. She taught art for two years at Chamberlain-Hunt Academy in Port Gibson.

Survivors include her husband, Roy J. Bailey of Vicksburg; a son, Michael Bailey of Vicksburg; a brother, J.C. “Pete” Deason of Rieden, Germany; four sisters, Flora Jones, Betty Vinson, Shirley Cook and Carolyn Smith, all of Vicksburg; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. David Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until the service Thursday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Cook, Rory Cook, Brett Jones, Corey Adcock, Logan Adcock and Jeremy Cook.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Biedenharn, James Bailey, Tom Bailey, Harvey Smith, Don Whittenburg, Gene Underwood, Dr. Murray Whitaker and staff, Dr. Robert Ford and Dr. Mack Jarmon.

Memorials may be made to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.

Sandra Corley Kelley

OAK GROVE Sandra Corley Kelley died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. She was 53.

Ms. Kelley was a resident of Oak Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt C. and James Juanita Corley; and two brothers, Larry Randolph Corley and Robert Lee Corley.

Survivors include two sons, Joe Bryant Mobley of Kelly, La., and Ronnie Mobley of Oak Grove; four sisters, Faye Anderson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Audrey Keen of Munster, Ind., Beverly King of Mer Rouge, La., and Deanna Bell of Oak Grove; three brothers, Dewitt Corley of Conroe, Texas, Jimmy Corley of Oak Grove and Marvin Corley of Montana; three grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with Larry McCullough and the Rev. Kenneth King officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Benny Chop, Lennis Chop, Rodney Still, Charlie Thomas, Danny Bailey and Tommy Yates.

Edna Earl McGraw

NEWELLTON Edna Earl McGraw died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at River Region West Skilled Care Center. She was 79.

Born in Forest, Miss., Mrs. McGraw had lived in Newellton for the past 22 years. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of St. Joseph Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. J. Fulton McGraw of Newellton; two sons, Russel W. McGraw of Jackson and Kenneth E. McGraw of Plano, Texas; a brother, Clayton Darr Harper of Brandon; a grandchild; and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Newellton with the Revs. Chris McCombs and Todd Sumrall officiating. Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Sadie Louise Keen Hearn

Sadie Louise Keen Hearn died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 90.

A native of Phoenix, Miss., Mrs. Hearn had been a resident of Warren County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Bascom Hearn and Abbie Susie Gallaway. She worked as a private sitter and was of the Church of Christ faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lester Hearn; a son, Thomas E. Hearn; two brothers, James Keen and Melvin Keen; and two sisters, Ester Mae Ryan and Minnie Alice McClure.

Survivors include a grandson, Hank Hearn of Vicksburg; five granddaughters, Charlotte Santucci of Greenville, Pam Carr of Pattison and Debra Pettway, Linda R. Hearn and Mona Cole, all of Vicksburg; one brother, L.M. “Booster” Turnage of Laurel; three sisters, Abbie Dee Adams of Brandon, Porter Fay Vanderver of Yazoo City and Helen Hood of Covington, La.; and 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Brent officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerry W. Santucci Jr., Shawn Ray Childers, Paul Carr, Billy Brent, Jeremy Hearn and Dean Hearn.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Keen, J.W. Hearn, Clyde Pettway, Dr. Daniel Edney, Joe Cole, Jerry W. Santucci Sr., Travis Passmore and Karen Pedroche.
