Glenn Davidson

VALLEY PARK Glenn “Jack” Davidson died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 72.

Born in Benoit, Miss., Mr. Davidson was a longtime resident of Valley Park. He retired as manager of the Valley Park Elevator.

He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Edith S. Davidson of Valley Park; one son, Glenn Jackson Davidson of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; two daughters, Melanie Dahl and Beth Mitchell, both of Vicksburg; a brother, W.L. Davidson of Greenville; and five sisters, Thelma Hague of Greenville, Pauline Blythe of Keller, Texas, Mary Jane Porter of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Halovie Perchon of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Juanita Luckie of Stuttgart, Ark.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with the Rev. Kent Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Friday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Wansley, Wynn Johnson, Bobby Braxton, Ted Frisbee, J.B. Middleton and Larry Whitten.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Johnson, Ralph Frisbee, William Thigpen, Lynn Braxton and Clyde McKinney.

Mary Harvey Neal

TALLULAH Mary Harvey Neal died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 78.

Born in Thomastown, La., Ms. Neal was a Vicksburg resident before moving to Tallulah. She was a retired nurse, a member of Lake Providence Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Craig of Lake Providence and Janie Wray of Loxley, Ala.; two brothers, David Harvey of Lake Providence and Robert Harvey of Tallulah; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill McClain officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Harvey, Paul Costello, Billy Peebles, Tommy Wray, John Collins and Patrick Costello.
