Lorraine Boyd Blackmore
Lorraine Boyd Blackmore of Vicksburg died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at her home. She was 42.
Mrs. Blackmore was a homemaker and a member of the Word of Faith Christian Center. She was a 1978 graduate of Vicksburg High School and a 1981 graduate of Hinds Community College.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Boyd Sr.; her paternal grandfather, James Elmore; and her paternal grandparents, Chester Boyd and Willie B. Taylor Boyd.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Blackmore of Vicksburg; a son, Christopher Blackmore of Vicksburg; a daughter, Jenorice D. Blackmore of Vicksburg; her mother, Alma Singleton Boyd of Vicksburg; four brothers, James Boyd Jr. of Montgomery, Ala., Larry Boyd of Atlanta, Ga., and Arthur Boyd and Anthony Boyd, both of Vicksburg; a sister, Rosalind Boyd of Vicksburg; her maternal grandmother, Lucille Elmore of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Alfred Richard Budd Jr.
LITCHFIELD, Ill. Alfred Richard Budd Jr. died Friday, Feb. 28, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Ill. He was 78.
Mr. Budd was born in Williamsville, Ill., to Alfred Richard Budd Sr. and Ella Noonan Budd. He owned Budd’s Paint Service in Litchfield from 1968 until his retirement in 1995. He had also farmed and worked as a truck driver and bulk oil salesman and had been working as an attendant at Old Route 66 Car Wash in Litchfield.
Mr. Budd was a member of Christian Church of Litchfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John L. Budd; and three sisters, Betty Gilbert, Alberta Budd and Ellen Budd.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Lorraine Ealey Budd; three sons, Wayne Budd of Litchfield, William Budd of Springfield, Ill., and Donald Budd of Channahon, Ill.; three daughters, Linda Perrine, Wanda Gipson and Diana Parsons, all of Vicksburg; two sisters, Helen Emerson of Springfield and Elsie Jacobs of Loami, Ill.; and 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christian Church of Litchfield with the Rev. Steve Revisky officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.

Gladys Bates Miller
Gladys Bates Miller of Vicksburg died Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. She was 83.
Mrs. Miller was born in Byrd, Miss., and had lived in Vicksburg since 1940. She was a retired employee for Westinghouse Corp. in Vicksburg. She was a member of Crawford Street United Methodist Church in Vicksburg.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. Miller Sr., in 1971; and a son, Howard L. Miller Jr., in 1999.
Survivors include her son, Walter S. “Buster” Miller of Vicksburg; a sister, Gertrude Powers of Gresham, Ore.; and six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg with the rev. Geoffrey Joyner officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Monday until the hour of service at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Miller, Lindsey Miller, Lamar Alexander, Trey Miller, Joel Miller and Rusty Miller.
