Willie Betts
Willie Betts died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at his home. He was 83.
Mr. Betts was retired from Illinois Central Railroad. He served in the Army in World War II and was a member of Tyner-Ford Post No. 213.
He was a member and trustee at Mount Pisgah M.B. Church, where he was on the usher board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth Betts.
Survivors include two sons, Willie L. Betts and James L. Betts, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Henry Betts of Chicago; two sisters, Thelma Audley of Wheaton, Ill., and Ida Moss of Sacramento, Calif.; and one grandson, James Betts of Vicksburg.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Frances L. Causey
Frances L. Causey died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was 64.
A native of Springhill, La., Mrs. Causey had lived in Vicksburg since 1968. She was the daughter of C.O. and Leila Mae Moore Warmack.
She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, C.T. Causey Jr.; three sons, Mike Causey of San Jose, Calif., Marty Causey of Clinton and Monte Ray Causey of Vicksburg; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Ivey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Coax Cemetery in Winnsboro, La.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at Riles Funeral Home and from noon Saturday until the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Josh Etherige, John Runnels, Junius Williams, Tom Mullikin, Glen Ezell and Bill Warmack.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. George Abraham II and members of the Faith Sunday school class at Highland Baptist Church.

Viola Wade Coleman
ROXIE, Miss. Viola Wade Coleman died Monday, April 7, 2003, at her home in Roxie, Miss. She was 87.
Mrs. Coleman was a milliner and a homemaker. She served on the Mother’s Board at Spring Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Clem Wade and Caroline Jackson; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include two nephews; seven nieces; cousins in Claiborne County; and other relatives and friends including, Cassandra Allen, Maurice Allen, Dexter Wilson, Mickey Wilson and Ronald Hunt.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spring Hill M.B. Church in Roxie with the Rev. Luther Bonds officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home in Fayette.
Visitation will be until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Wilson, Mickey Wilson, Dexter Wilson, Hollis Hunt Jr., Ronald Hunt and Maurice Allen.
James M. Crider
DELHI James M. Crider died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at Richland Parish Hospital in Delhi. He was 64.
Mr. Crider was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Crider and Cora Ardilla Crider; a brother, Cecil Edward Crider; and a sister, Helen Marie Spence.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Crider of Delhi; a daughter, Jamai Lynn Hutto of Tallulah; two brothers, John Leonard Crider of Delhi and William Leon Crider of Minden, La.; two sisters, Nora Ann Mays and Jenny Manning, both of Yulee, Fla.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives, including Fannie Mae Nelson of Delhi.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church in Delhi with the Rev. W.H. “Buck” Curry Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Foster Bullock, Charles Gilcrease, Jerry Paul Nelson, Johnny Junkin, James Alford Fulford and Steve Gaharan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles “Buddy” Black, Wilford Walker and Eddie Fletcher.
