TRANSYLVANIA Patricia Diane Marsh died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe. She was 47.

Mrs. Marsh was a resident of Transylvania.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Dewayne Marsh; her father, Ira Bruce Hunt Sr.; and a sister, Hannah Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Marsh of Transylvania; her son, Shawn Marsh of Transylvania; her mother, Eddio Pearl Armagost of Sondheimer; three brothers, Ira Bruce Hunt Jr., and William Wesley Hunt, both of Transylvania, and Charlie Albert Hunt of Jasper, Ga.; and three sisters, Mary Louise Read and Dorothy Ann Woods, both of San Diego, Calif., and Barbara Jean Hunt of Tallulah.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sondheimer Baptist Church with the Revs. Stowe Harbin and Tony Brumley officiating. Burial will follow at Reeks Cemetery in Oak Grove under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence.

Visitation will be until the service Saturday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Seth Jones, Tim LaCaze, Dale Miller, Stacey Sullivan, William Kirby and Bruce Bryant.

Whytine McDonald

PORT GIBSON Whytine McDonald died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center. He was 68.

Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Tennessee Moore-McDonald; two brothers, Leon McDonald and Charlie McDonald; and three sisters, Jessie Bell Reed, Annie Bell Williams and Lizzie McDonald.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah McDonald of Fayette and Carolyn McDonald of Jackson; a son, Billy Ray McDonald of Jackson; two brothers, James McDonald of Fayette and Paul Moore of Chicago; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends including, Tahrik McClellan of Fayette.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Hollywood Baptist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Isaac Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at East Mount Olive Church Cemetery in Redlick, Miss., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.

Luther Ross

PORT GIBSON Luther Ross died Monday, April 21, 2003, at his home. He was 84.

Mr. Ross was employed at the Port Gibson Box Factory for many years. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ross; his parents, George and Flora Ross; and a brother, Adel Ross.

Survivors include Lenzy Ruth Kilcrease of Port Gibson; a stepdaughter, Rosie Lee Grayson of Los Angeles, Calif.; and other relatives and friends including, Susie Ross, Angelia Ross and Donald Ross, all of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Luke Christian Church in Pattison with T.E. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Mercy Seat M.B. Church Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Angelia Denise Stewart

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Angelia Denise Stewart died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Ala. She was 30.

Ms. Stewart was a member of Christ Temple of Deliverance Church in Birmingham and was employed with the University of Alabama, Birmingham Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Audriaunna I. Stewart of Port Gibson; her mother, Thelma Robinson of Port Gibson; her father, Bennie Stewart of Port Gibson; her stepfather, Charlie R. Robinson of Port Gibson; her stepmother, Lula M. Stewart of Port Gibson; two brothers, Gary J. Stewart of Memphis and Charlie R. Odom of Birmingham; aunts and uncles; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Port Gibson High School Gymnasium with Theo Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Willows under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be from 1-6 tonight at the funeral home and from noon until the service Saturday at the school.
