Services for Willie Mae Scott will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. Rudy Smith officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon today at Williams Funeral Service.
Ms. Scott died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was 55.
Ms. Scott was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith and was a former surgical tech nurse at Twelve Oaks Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Scott.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Scott of Jackson, N.C., and Robert Scott of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Yolanda Scott Gadison of Houston and Sonya Scott Lundy of Katy, Texas; her mother, Roberta Scott of Vicksburg; two brothers, Larry Scott of Vicksburg and John Scott of Houston; three sisters, Laura Booker of Missouri City, Texas, and Beverly Scott and Betty Jo Scott, both of Vicksburg; 10 grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Daisy Sterling of Vicksburg.
Thomas Williams
Services for Thomas Williams will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hopewell Cemetery with the Rev. Will Harris officiating.
Mr. Williams died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at his home in Montgomery, Ala. He was 50.
Mr. Williams was of the Baptist faith and was a former construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Georgia Williams; two brothers, Simon Williams Jr. and John Henry Williams; two sisters, Mary Louise Williams and Margaret Williams.
Survivors include three brothers, Michael Williams and Willie Williams, both of Vicksburg, and Robert Williams of Pearl; a sister, Georgia Hardmon of Greenville; and other relatives and friends, including Annie Bell Harris of Vicksburg.
Lee Thelma Whiten
Lee Thelma Whiten died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at River Region West. She was 82.
Mrs. Whiten was a retired domestic worker.
She is survived by her husband, Curlie Whiten Sr. of Vicksburg; two sons, Curlie Whiten Jr. of Vicksburg and Rickey R. Whiten of Jackson; three daughters, Debra W. Williams of Detroit, Maurice W. Brown of Irving, Texas, and Thelma D. Bell of Vicksburg; and a sister, Helen Jackson of Fresno, Calif.
