[4/30/03]The St. Aloysius boys doubles team of Cass Dodgen and Michael Engle won a Class 1A state championship on Tuesday at Bridges Tennis Center in Jackson. The Flashes finished second in the team standings.

Dodgen and Engle beat Cheston Cascio and Robert Curry of Greenville-St. Joseph, 7-5, 7-5 in the championship match.

The girls doubles team of Bonnie Neill and Josie Hood lost to Bogue Chitto in the championship match.

Vicksburg’s Jordan Henry, who breezed into the semifinals on Monday, was a straight-set loser to Meridian’s David Ray in the semifinals.
