Juanita Lewis Anderson

Juanita Lewis Anderson of Vicksburg died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 70.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Lewis and Martha Reed Curtis.

Survivors include her husband, David Anderson of Tacoma, Wash.; five daughters, Linda D. Jones, Valerie R. Edwards and Lynetta Holmes, all of Chicago, Bernice Harris Nichols of Jackson and Daphane Brooks of Apple Valley, Calif.; four sons, Allen F. Holmes of Aberdeen, Md., Edward L. Henry Brooks of Tacoma, Martinez Anderson of Las Vegas and Jason Lewis of Jackson; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Illinois; 39 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bright Morning Star M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday with family hour from 7 until 8 at the funeral home.

Henry J. Cobb

Henry J. Cobb died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at his home. He was 90.

A native of Canton, Mr. Cobb lived most of his life in Vicksburg. He was the son of the late Henry J. and Nanly Welch Cobb. He retired as a machinist from Illinois Central Railroad after 35 years of service. He was a member of Bradley Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine E. Cobb; and three brothers, Sam Cobb, Norman Cobb and J.B. Cobb.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlene Irwin, Kay Sakulin and Roberta Whittenberg, all of Vicksburg; a son, Charles Cobb of Vicksburg; a sister, Mary Joe Cobb of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Home with Jimmy Henry and Sam Cobb officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Henry, Carl Pettway, Robert McBroom, Mike Britton, Frank Norwood, Bill Henley, Charles Sibley and Jack Pace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Sibley, Butch Burroughs, Frank Cobb, H.C. Sibley, Pete Stubb, Norman Cobb Jr., Paula Pepper, Hoyt Hogan, Phil Irwin, Johnny Cobb and former employees of I.C. Railroad.

Nell Dundas

Services for Nell Dundas will be at 2:30 today at Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton with the Rev. P.J. Curley, pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dundas died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 82.

Born in Mississippi, Mrs. Dundas was reared in Mound and graduated from Tallulah High School. She was a longtime resident of Southern California before moving to Vicksburg.

She was employed by the U.S. government at the Prisoner of War Camp in Clinton and later worked as an executive secretary at Thorpe Insulation in California.

The daughter of Isabel S. and John Butler, she was a member of the Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, John F. Dundas of Vicksburg.

Mary Louise Smith Lee

Mary Louise Smith Lee died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. She was 72.

A resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Lee was a member of Gospel Temple M.B. Church where she served as a deaconess. She was a former employee of The Belmont House and a member of Anademas Loving Unity Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Rhodes and Elease Harper; a son, John Hill; and a grandson, Karim Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Smith of New York, and James Hill of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Donzia Clark of Vicksburg; four sisters, Shirley Wallace and Mary Giles, both of Vicksburg, Christine Brown of Chicago and Hazel Harvey of Los Angeles; and other relatives and friends, including Bobby Clark and Virgie Ellis, both of Vicksburg and Iris Smith of New York.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Robbie Lee Love Sr.

Robbie Lee Love Sr. died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. He was 67.

A native of Kelso, Miss., Mr. Love lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He was the son of the late Marshall Field and Ellie B. Ellison Love. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Warrenton Independent Baptist Church. He served in the Navy during peace time.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy H. Ferguson; two brothers, Cornelius R. Love and Marshall Paul Love; and two grandsons, Cornelius Dee Love and Noah Love.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia H. Love of Vicksburg; two sons, Robbie Love Jr. and George Eugene Love, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Darlene Shoemaker of Canton and Naomi Smylie of Brandon; a brother, Willie Roger Love of Anguilla; and 12 grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Warrenton Independent Baptist Church with Johnny Welborn, Marvin Curtis Sr., Randy Graham and Scottee Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Betty Palmer, Glen Page, Judy Hall, Kenneth Love, Debra Hartley, Jake Page, Randy Brown and Jason Page.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Hartley, Mary Brasel Love, Larry Hartley, Addie Love and Jeanette Brooks.
