Helen A. Anderson
FAIRHOPE, Ala. Helen A. Anderson, formerly of Vicksburg, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at her home in Fairhope, Ala. She was 76.
A Florida native, Mrs. Anderson was retired from Sears and was a former member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Vicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.T. “Bill” Anderson.
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Anderson-Giles of Fairhope and Valerie Ann Smithhart of Vicksburg; a son, Daniel Towns Anderson of Mobile, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shelton Cemetery in Pattison.
Visitation will be from 9 until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile.
William Michael Beauman Jr.
William Michael “Little Mike” Beauman Jr. died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. He was 28.
A lifelong resident of Warren County, Mr. Beauman was the son of Diane Hearn Beauman and the late Mike Beauman. He was a member of Warrenton Church of Christ.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sambo and Hedy Hearn, and his paternal grandfather, Sid Beauman Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Angela Jordan of Vicksburg; one brother, Lee Beauman of Vicksburg; his paternal grandmother, Jean Beauman of Vicksburg; two nieces, Hannah Jordan and Ann Michael Jordan; a nephew, Brandon Beauman; and other relatives.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Home with Les Ferguson of Kosciusko and Wayne Moore of Warrenton Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dean Hearn, Dale Hearn, Michael Ryan Beauman, Mitchell Beauman, Bumper Brogdon and J.R. Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Oxbow Hunting Club.
Memorials may be made to Warrenton Church of Christ, 150 Redbone Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180, or to a favorite charity.
Jim Bryant Jim Bryant died Thursday, July 31, 2003, at his home in Redwood. He was 67.
Born in Bolton, Mr. Bryant had been a Redwood resident for the past 25 years. He was a retired heavy-equipment operator and was a former employee of Baxter Wilson. He was a member of Union Hall No. 624 in Jackson and Masonic Lodge No. 0559.
A veteran of the Army and Air Force, he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Helen D. Bryant of Redwood; one son, David Magee of Union Church; two daughters, Nita Redditt of Vicksburg and Sue Franklin of Dalton, Ga.; a sister, Margarette Buck of Pearl; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie O’Quinn officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Redditt, Keith Sykes, George Butts, John Ervin, Melvin Franklin and Kenny Franklin.
James Butler
PATTISON James Butler died Monday, July 28, 2003, at his home in Pattison. He was 80.
Mr. Butler was a member of Morningstar Baptist Church in Lorman, where he sang in the choir. He was a veteran of the Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gip Butler and Josephine Foster-Butler; a brother, Gip Butler Jr.; a sister, Mary Hackett; and a daughter, Faye Eggleston.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Butler of Pattison; a son, Tony Butler of Pattison; one sister, Maureen Young of Compton, Calif.; two grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morningstar M.B. church with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at McCay Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Port Gibson and from noon Saturday until the service at the church.
