[8/14/03]Keisha Blue’s first start as a varsity pitcher ended with a rainy blowout in Madison.

Blue, who has played second base most of her career and pitched for the junior varsity last season, shut down Madison St. Joe for the final four innings in Warren Central’s 16-4 win on Wednesday.

Blue gave up three runs in the first inning, then allowed only a single run in the fifth. On offense, she had two of the Lady Vikes’ 10 hits.

Candice McKay belted a single, triple and had three RBIs, and Kristen Baker had a pair of hits in the win.
