Alfred Milton Brown
McCOMB Alfred Milton “A.M.” Brown died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. He was 82.
Mr. Brown was born in Pike County and lived in McComb. He was a retired callboy and clerk for Illinois Central Railroad, where he worked for more than 37 years.
Mr. Brown was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving two Bronze Stars. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Evelyn Hodges Brown; one brother, Emmett Brown; and two sisters, Rhonda May and Edna Lee McElveen Pittman.
He is survived by one daughter, Doris M. Johnston of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Melissa Ann Johnston Barefoot and Clayton Johnston, both of Vicksburg; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with the Rev. Ed Sudduth officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 until 7 tonight and from 8 a.m. Wednesday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Huey Wingate, Pete McDaniel, Donald Ready, Jimmy Johnston, Clayton Johnston and Larry Barefoot.
Patricia Ann Donham
TALLULAH Patricia Ann Donham died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at River Region West Campus. She was 67.
Mrs. Donham was a native of Independence, Kan., and had lived in Tallulah for 32 years. She retired as an administrative assistant from the Madison Parish District Attorney’s office.
She is survived by her husband, Carl L. Donham of Tallulah; one son, Daniel A. Donham of Boise, Idaho; one daughter, Terri Lynn Donham of Tallulah; two brothers, Bruce A. Mobray of Charlotte, N.C., and Gary Mobray of Wichita, Kan.; and a grandson, Carl Anthony “Tony” Donham of Tallulah.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Delhi Masonic Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2:30 today at the funeral home.
William Franklin Hallberg III
Services for William Franklin “Bill” Hallberg III will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riles Funeral Home with Dr. John G. McCall, pastor emeritus of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Hallberg died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, in Issaquena County. He was 40.
Born in Vicksburg, Mr. Hallberg was a graduate of Vicksburg High School and received an associate degree in agriculture from Hinds Community College. He had worked as a safety coordinator at LeTourneau Inc. for the past two years.
He was involved in the “Gold in the Hills” melodrama and served as a backstage manager for the Miss Mississippi Pageant. He was a member of the Valley Park Country Club Hunting Camp. He attended First Baptist Church.
Mr. Hallberg was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Hallberg.
Survivors include his father, W.F. “Buddy” Hallberg of Vicksburg; a brother, Miles Hallberg of Spartanburg, S.C.; a niece, Brenna Leigh Hallberg of Spartanburg; a nephew, David Wesley Hallberg of Spartanburg; and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Smokey Kelly, Terry Winschel, Paul Flaharty, Ricky Cockrell, Huey Walter, Joe Harris, Steve Butler and Arthur Casey.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the production staff of the Miss Mississippi Pageant and members of VPCC Hunting Camp.

Johnnie Mae Townsend Moseley
FOREST, La. Johnnie Mae Townsend Moseley died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove. She was 72.
Mrs. Moseley was born in Bastrop, La., and was a resident of Forest, La.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Bobby” Moseley Sr.; a son, David Lee Moseley; and her parents, John and Mary Sanders Townsend.
She is survived by a son, Thomas R. Moseley Jr. of Forest; three grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. today at Lakeside Assembly of God with the Revs. Loyd Townsend, Lynn Townsend and Bruce Lowery officiating. Burial will followed at New Forest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby Barnett, Elva Greer, David Moseley, John Slade, David Carr and Tim Breed.
Myrtle Louise Mosely
EPPS, La. Myrtle Louise Mosely died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Richland Manor Nursing Home. She was 88.
Mrs. Mosely was born in Magee, Miss., and was a resident of Epps, La. A retired grocery clerk, she was a member of Epps Baptist Church, where she was a former Vacation Bible School teacher and assistant youth director.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence B. Fox and David Edward Mosely; her father, Bert Lafayette Lang; her mother, Emma Bell Lang; a brother, Milton Lang; and a sister, Audrey McDonald.
Mrs. Mosely is survived by a son, Sonny Fox of Epps; two daughters, Syble Louise Word of Eddy, Texas, and Rita Watson of Delhi; one sister, Lois Aaron of Darnell, La.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Epps Baptist Church with Inmon Powell and the Revs. Lee Piercy and Pat Loftin officiating. Burial will follow at Epps Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Pallbearers will be Donald Young, Mark Fox, George Watson Jr., Walter Stewart Hillman, Mike Hall and William Watson.
