Services for Fred Mace Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammie Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Home M.B. Church Cemetery on Scott Road.

Mr. Mace died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. He was 43.

Mr. Mace was a member of Christian Home M.B. Church No. 1.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Francis Brown, Sammy Lewis, Coniell Warfield and Stafford Mace, and a sister, Frances Claxton.

He is survived by his wife, Callie Mace; two sons, Frederick D. Allen of Vicksburg and Donovan Franklin of Baton Rouge; one daughter, LaToya Allen of Vicksburg; his parents, Fred Mace Sr. and Sarah Lewis Mace, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Thomas Lewis Mace of Vicksburg; one sister, Mary Janice Benson of Brandon; and uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

OAK GROVE Clayton Harvey Richey died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital. He was 88.

Born in Doddridge, Ark., Mr. Richey was a farmer and longtime resident of West Carroll Parish. He graduated from Oak Grove High School. He was a member and deacon at New Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Richey served for 26 years on the West Carroll Police Jury and was a member of Oak Grove Lodge No. 284 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Richey Hopkins; his father, Joseph Franklin Richey; and a sister, Ruth Richey.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Rosa Lee Richey of Oak Grove; three sons, Duane Richey and Harvey E. Richey, both of Oak Grove, and Donald Richey of West Monroe; three daughters, Barbara Sawyer of Atlanta, Ruth Morse of Tulsa, Okla., and Lynn Herlevic of Arlington, Texas; and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Jimmy Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Richey Sawyer, Paul Sawyer, Jeff Richey, Clayton Richey, Daren Richey, Brent Morse, Tim Herlevic, Brian Herlevic and Stephen Richey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Tannehill, Alan Serjeant and Jason Spohn.

Ella M. Tolliver

Services for Ella M. Tolliver will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh M.B. Church with Dr. Willie J. Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tolliver died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 90.

Mrs. Tolliver was a homemaker and member of St. Mary’s Chapter No. 1 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Shiloh M.B. Church, where she was in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Lewis and Emma Marshall Copeland; her husband, Willie B. Tolliver; four brothers, Curtis Copeland, Hezikiah Copeland, Gonzales Copeland and DeGoire Copeland; and five sisters, Helen Wise Smith, Alease Harris, Ernestine Griffin, Odeal Joseph Moore and Agatha Williams.

Survivors include her brother, Burbridge R. Copeland of Canton, Ohio; three nieces, Iver Rhodman and Brenda McBride, both of Vicksburg, and Virginia Wolf of Saginaw, Mich.; her caregiver, Cecilia Cole of Vicksburg; and friends and other relatives, including Edward Clark of Jackson and members of the Copeland, Tillman, Cobbs, Caruthers, McKnight and Evans families.
