Jerry Dale Sanderford

Jerry Dale Sanderford died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was 50.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Sanderford was the son of the late Gerald S. Sanderford and Velma Ferguson Sanderford Pitts. He was a welder for Anderson Tully Co. and a member of Northside Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hooks Sanderford; and his grandparents, Howard Ferguson and Rosie Ferguson.

Survivors include three sons, Jonathan Sanderford and Justin Sanderford, both of Dallas, Texas, and Tommy McKinney of Vicksburg; three brothers, Greg T. Sanderford, Danny P. Sanderford and Samuel Sanderford, all of Vicksburg; and two sisters, Sheila Tarver and Diane Wallace, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home with Sid Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Hollowell, Bubba Leach, George Leach, Michael Sanderford, Randy Sanderford, Robert Burton and Robert Gladwell.

George Edward Walton

KEY WEST, Fla. George Edward Walton died Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, in Florida. He was 51.

Formerly of Vicksburg, Mr. Walton was a resident of Key West, Fla.

He is survived by his father, George R. Walton of Columbia, Miss.; and a sister, Monica W. Chaney of Vicksburg.

Arrangements were incomplete.
