Barnhart Crane & Rigging Co. workers stand on top of the Warren County Courthouse Wednesday as a 1,400-pound air conditioner compressor is lifted by a 100-ton crane with a 140-foot boom from the parking lot of the building off Grove Street. Chuck Thornton with Warren County Buildings and Grounds Department said the compressor cost $19,000, and use of the crane for the day was about $3,000. Employees at the Warren County Courthouse have been bringing fans to work while the compressor was out.(Melanie Duncan Thortis The Vicksburg Post)
