Eron Lonnie Brasher Jr.
STARKVILLE Eron Lonnie Brasher Jr. died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at his home in Starkville. He was 65.
Mr. Brasher was a graduate of Bruce High School and Mississippi State University. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Starkville, the Optimist Club and the Scottish and York Shimer. He served in the Navy for seven years and was a retired nuclear power company engineer.
Mr. Brasher was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hays Brasher; his parents, Eron and Margaret Brasher; and a sister, Betty Bobe.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Shannon Brasher of Starkville; a brother, John Edward Brasher of Bruce, Miss.; two sisters, Claudia Pickering of Vicksburg and Linda Brasher Franklin of Oxford; and three grandsons.
Services will be at 2 today at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce with the Revs. Bryan Pickering, Mack Rutledge and Earl Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pontotoc County.
Pallbearers will be Danny Collins, Eddie Brasher, Brian Hughes, Ronnie Hays, Richard McCauley II and Robert Lee Logan.
Margaret J. Nall
Services for Margaret J. Nall will be at 2 today at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until the service.
Mrs. Nall died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at Baptist Desoto Center in Southaven. She was 78.
A former Vicksburg resident, Mrs. Nall had lived in Coldwater for the past 20 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Coldwater.
She is survived by a son, Richard Nall of Gautier; a daughter, Shelby J. Johnson of Vicksburg; one brother, Bill Haward of Coldwater; and other relatives.
Reba Griffin Rinicker
TALLULAH Reba Griffin Rinicker died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003. She was 57.
Mrs. Rinicker was born in Pioneer, La., and was a lifelong resident of Tallulah. She was a registered nurse, and was the owner and operator of Magnolia Madison Home Health Care.
She attended the United Pentecostal Church in Tallulah, and was named honored professional in Who’s Who in Professionals and Executives for 1998 and 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Maybelle Griffin, and one son, James Edward Machen.
She is survived by two sons, Carl Lanier Machen of Start, La., and William Joseph Machen of Tallulah; one sister, Peggy Rawles of Rayville; one grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the United Pentecostal Church in Tallulah, with the Revs. Greg Nichols and Robert Stroud officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home from 5 until 8 tonight.
Pallbearers will be Gary Killingsworth Jr., Clarence Hall, Dr. Lawrence Chenier, Douglas Jackson, Danny Howell and Lloyd Fondren.
