Robert Dale “Roe” Cagnolatti
TALLULAH Robert Dale “Roe” Cagnolatti died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Olive Branch Senior Care Facility. He was 80.
Mr. Cagnolatti was a native and lifelong resident of Tallulah. He was a Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation after many years of service and was a former Little League coach and umpire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ashton Cagnolatti and Mac Cagnolatti; and a sister, Betty Towne.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Cagnolatti of Tallulah; a son, Dale Cagnolatti of Delhi; three daughters, Nancy Adams, Kathryn Cagnolatti and Dawn Landry, all of Monroe; a brother, W.P. Cagnolatti; a sister, Eunice Erwin; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Tallulah with the Rev. Ferreolus D’Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mac Cagnolatti Jr., David Cagnolatti, Woody Cagnolatti, Larry Cox, Jim Anderson and Kirk Morley Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Roscoe Jr., George Batchelor, Boone Halbach, J.O. Pemberton and Pops Neumann.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Bernice Judge King
Bernice Judge King died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003. She was 66.
Mrs. King was born in Arcola to the late Dave and Lucy C. Judge. She was a former member of St. James M.B. Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel King Sr.; a brother, Dave Judge; a sister, Canary Fuller; her son, Jessie King; and her daughter, Rosie M. King.
She is survived by three sons, Samuel E. King Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., Robert L. King of Edwards and Larry King of Vicksburg; five daughters, Bernice King of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Lucy M. King of Elgin, Ill., and Jeanette Calvin, Diane Anderson and Joyce M. King, all of Vicksburg; two brothers, Arthur Judge and Peter Judge, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Maggie Judge Hill of San Francisco; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Tamzella Reed
Tamzella Reed died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 at River Region Medical Center. She was 81.
Mrs. Reed was a member of Travis Chapel A.M.E. Church where she served on the usher board. She was also a member of the Cool Springs Burial Society and the Travis Church Burial Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.J. Matthews; her parents, Mose and Dinah Reed, and three brothers.
She is survived by four nieces, Dinah Smith of Vicksburg, Hattie Gray and Theresa Fairchild, both of Chicago, and Dorothy Carson of Kankeekee, Ill.; a nephew, Harrison Spates Jr., of Chicago, and a number of other relatives.

Julia Ann Harris Scott
Julia Ann Harris “Big Julia” Scott died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 64.
Mrs. Scott was a retired registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Abel M.B. Church in Mound.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Abbie Harris, and two sisters, Willie Jean Stouts and Sudie Mae Harris.
Survivors include two sons, Derrick Scott and Eric Scott, both of Vicksburg; seven brothers, James Harris, Eugene Harris William Harris and Larry Harris, all of Perth Amboy, N.J., Anthony Harris of Charleston, S.C., Albert Harris of Vicksburg and Wilbert Harris Jr. of Los Angeles; three sisters, Carolyn Harris of Vicksburg, Gennie Brown of Tallulah and Hazel Davis of Perth Amboy; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including Preston Gaines.
