“I was worried where our offense was going to come from,” PCA coach Kevin Griffin said. “It helped that they played zone and that allowed us to ease into things.”

Lauren Johnson, a softball standout in her first basketball game, added 9 points in the victory.

The Lady Eagles are scheduled to play against Rebul tonight at 7, and Griffin expects a much tougher outing.

“They get after it on defense,” Griffin said. “It will allow us to run our man offense, though, and that will let us see where we stand.”
