Beaugh nets career-high 36 in beating Rebul

[11/12/03]Annie Beaugh’s assault on the Porters Chapel basketball goals continued on Tuesday night.

Beaugh scored a career-high 36 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Lady Eagles defeated Rebul, 51-25. The victor avenges an earlier loss to Rebul in the Union Tournament.

Amy Beaugh scored five points, but dished all 11 of her assists to her sister.

Porters Chapel (5-2) held Rebul scoreless in the second quarter and held a 28-13 lead at halftime.

The Lady Eagles held Rebul’s top scorer, Caroline Blocker, to 10 points, and second-leading scorer Courtney Roberts to three points.

PCA will host Chamberlain-Hunt at 6 p.m. Friday.

(B) Rebul 38, PCA 36

Rebul scored late in the fourth quarter and Porters Chapel botched the throw-in with seven seconds to play as Rebul escaped with a win.

Dan Ivey scored a career-high 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Chip Lofton scored 10 for the Eagles (2-2).
