Jim Ella Aden

ROLLING FORK Jim Ella Aden died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 79.

Mrs. Aden was a native of Albin, Miss., and had lived in Rolling Fork since 1939. She retired as head clerk from the Department of USDA’s ASCS in Rolling Fork and was a member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork, where she was organist and served as primary Sunday school teacher for more than 20 years. She was a member of Leaf & Lawn Garden Club and Friends of the Library.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Lillie May Wells, and her husband, Perry Brooks Aden.

She is survived by a brother, Virgil Wells of Greenville; four sisters, Bessie May Wells and Leta Carter, both of Rolling Fork, Dr. Oneita Keith of Greenville and Dr. Ernestine Rainey of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork with the Revs. Millard L. Caulder and Reese Kyzar officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.

Pallbearers will be Clifton Porter, Phil Oxner Jr., Jimbo Newman, Gip Carter, Andy Anderson, Bobby Sandifer, Ward Clements and Jimmy Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Vance, Ike Presley, Ike Collins, Laurance Carter and Dr. Danny Jackson.

Adolph J. Anderson

Adolph J. “Andy” Anderson died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee. He was 71.

A native of Wisconsin, Mr. Anderson was a former resident of Greeneville, Tenn., and had lived in Bluff City, Tenn., for the past several years. He was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers and was an Army veteran.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served as president of the Tennessee Federation of Chapters of NARFE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Minnie Hawkins Anderson; his wife, Jane Gray Anderson; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, David Anderson of Clinton and Thomas Anderson of Bluff City; a daughter, Debra Howard of Burleson, Texas; a brother, Myron Anderson of Wisconsin; one sister, Evelyn Martinson of Wisconsin; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bluff City with the Rev. Bill Gahagan officiating. Burial will be Friday at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday at the church under the direction of Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City.

Memorials may be made to the NARFE, c/o Weida White, 111 Driuid Hill Drive, Dixon TN., or to the Alzehimer’s Association.

Patricia Jean Boler

Patricia Jean Boler died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at her home. She was 51.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Boler was the daughter of the late Alvin L. and Josie Ausley Beard. She attended Warren Central High School and was employed by River Region Health Systems. She was a member of the Big Buck Hunting Club and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Victoria Edna Rea Vinson.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Boler of Vicksburg; a son, John Boler of Vicksburg; a daughter, Angela R. Vinson of Vicksburg; two brothers, Alvin Beard Jr., of Vicksburg, and Andy A. Beard of Winterhaven, Fla.; a sister, Janice Roger of Saleville, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Reggie Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at the Beard Family Cemetery in Yokena.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be A.J. Beard, Joseph Beard, Drew Beard, Andy Beard Jr., Billy Peebles, Donald Vinson and Barry Vinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.W. Muller, Dr. Hildon Sessums, the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, member of Big Buck Hunting Club and employees of River Region Health System.

Michael Lynn Coonce

OAK GROVE Michael Lynn Coonce died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at his home in Oak Grove. He was 47.

Mr. Coonce was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Jean Coonce.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Coonce of Oak Grove; a son, Robert Brady Dawson of Oak Grove; a daughter, Barbara Coonce Thomas of West Monroe, La.; his father, Erno Coonce of Russellville, Ark.; his stepmother, Fern Coonce of Russellville, Ark.; two brothers, Ronald Erno Coonce of Forest, Miss., and Ricky Coonce of London, Ark.; three sisters, Venita Lawrence of London; Alicia Duke of Elpaso, Ark., and Linda Greer of Russellville; and other relatives.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Cloud officiating. Burial will follow at Reeks Cemetery in Oak Grove under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Boyte, Bob Boyte, Jon Jon Boyte, Jessie Ard, Jessie Minton and Robert Brady Dawson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Beard and James Dupree.
