Lillie Crawford

Lillie Crawford died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 95.

A resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Crawford was on the mother board at King David No. 1 M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Crawford; 11 brothers, Issac Hall, James Hall, Robert Hall III, Jack Hall, Peter Hall, Richard Hall, George Hall, Joseph Hall, Jessie Hall, Roosevelt Hall and Roosevelt Hall II; and three sisters, Mary Hall, Louise Baker and Margaret H. Daniels.

Survivors include a son, E.J. Crawford of Vicksburg; five brothers, Doc Hall and Sammie Hall, both of Vicksburg, A.D. Hall of Metcalf, Miss., Jimmy D. Hall of Belzoni, Miss., and Daniel Hall of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters, Rosie Cole of Greenville and Pinkey Brown of Saginaw, Mich.; two grandchildren; and other relatives, including Jean Crawford and Candi Crawford, both of Vicksburg.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Jo June Howard

Jo June Howard died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 70.

A native of Copiah County, Mrs. Howard had lived in Vicksburg since 1983. She was the daughter of the late Abe and Effie Roblin Mooneyham. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Crystal Springs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Mooneyham and Casey Mooneyham.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Howard of Vicksburg; two sons, Kenneth Ray White of Vicksburg and J.D. White of Crystal Springs; a sister, Merle Martin of Crystal Springs; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Utica Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Lillie Mae Kent

Lillie Mae Kent died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at River Region Medical Center. She was 68.

Mrs. Kent was retired and was a member of St. Mary M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Kent Jr.; and two brothers, Howard Garrett and George Garrett.

She is survived by three sons, Danny L. Kent, Tracy Garrett Kent and Robert J. Kent, all of Vicksburg; one daughter, Carolyn “C.C.” Morton of Vicksburg; her father, Preston Griffin of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
