Raymond Augustus Watson

PORT GIBSON Raymond Augustus Watson died today, Dec. 5, 2003, at his home. He was 66.
A resident of Port Gibson, Mr. Watson was a graduate of Claiborne County Training School and Devry Electrical School. He retired as a glass technician with General Electric after 40 years of service. He served in the Army and the Navy and was a member of St. Peter A.M.E. Church in Port Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Watson.
Survivors include Alice M. Watson of Providence, R.I.; his mother, Ruthie Carpenter Robinson of Port Gibson; four daughters, Andrea Watson, Lavera Watson, Pamela Watson and Sharon Watson, all of Providence; a sister, Carolyn Rowan of Port Gibson; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Williams Funeral Service in Port Gibson has charge of arrangements.

Services for Walter Watson Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Watson died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at University Medical Center. He was 77.
A resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Watson was a retired licensed mechanic and a Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maude and Laura Watson; and five brothers, Ike Watson, Clyde Watson, Major Watson, Pete Watson and Albert Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Watson of Vicksburg; a son, Walter Watson of Vicksburg; six daughters, Addie Clark, Edith Caples, Deloris Watson, Lillie Tubbs, Bessie Watson and Inez Carter, all of Vicksburg; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and friends.
