Curley Sanders Jr.

Services for Curley Sanders Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Sanders died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at his home. He was 61.

He was a resident of Vicksburg.

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his parents, Curley Sanders Sr. and Mozella Sanders.

Survivors include two sisters, Lenora Sanders and Ivera Reed Kelly, both of Vicksburg; and nieces and nephews.

Wilma L. Ainsworth

LAKE PROVIDENCE Wilma L. Ainsworth died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at The Olive Branch in Tallulah. She was 99.

She was a resident of Transylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Arthur Ainsworth; her father, James Russell Lawless; and her mother, Ida Oswalt.

Mrs. Ainsworth is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Goss of Vicksburg and Virginia Pace of White Oaks, Ga.; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Monday at Melbourne Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Williams, Jerry King, Ronald King, Kiley King, Jerry Johns and James Muse.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pam Moore, Dr. L.P. Neumann and the staff, nurses and nurses’ aides of The Olive Branch.

Hazel Irene Dawson

OAK GROVE Hazel Irene Dawson died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital. She was 89.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dawson; her parents, Gus Lee and Birdie Irene Beard; two daughters, Shirley Dawson and Peggy Nell Dawson; a grandson, Kevin Dawson; a brother, Amos Beard; and three sisters, Tena Eason, Media Aultom and Essie Kinney.

Mrs. Dawson is survived by three sons, Max Dawson of Bossier City, La., Gerald Dawson of Mansfield, Texas, and Eddie Dawson of Oak Grove; two daughters, Barbara Tolbert of Marshall, Texas, and Susan Dawson Cedotal of Oak Grove; three sisters, Lola Allen of Manghan, La., and Bertha Pullin and Doris Bowman, both of Oak Grove; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. Leslie Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Kilbourne Cemetery in Kilbourne, La.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Dawson’s grandsons.

Margaret Hynum

PORT GIBSON Margaret Hynum died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Claiborne County Hospital. She was 80.

Mrs. Hynum was a native of Houston, Texas, but had lived in Pattison most of her life. She retired from the Mississippi Cooperative Extension Service, where she was a home economist. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Hynum was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Paul Hynum; and a daughter, Marie Smith.

She is survived by a son, Sidney Paul Hynum of Port Gibson; two daughters, Mary Ann Hynum of Port Gibson and Linda Johnson of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Johnny Reinhart of Evergreene, Texas, and George Reinhart and Richard Reinhart, both of Houston; a sister, Virginia Lee Sceuvin of Houston, Miss.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Michael McKnight officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Hynum, Gary Hynum, Ronnie Hynum, Randy Hynum, Jimmy Burch and Daniel Slayton.
