Pamela Y. Anderson died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at her home. She was 39.

Ms. Anderson was a teacher’s assistant and bus driver with the Vicksburg Warren School District. She was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Willie Belle Anderson.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Anderson, Jamie Anderson and Jeremy Anderson, all of Vicksburg; a stepson, Alton Miles of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Lalisa Howard and Gloria Miles, both of Vicksburg; five brothers, Ronald Anderson, Ed Anderson, Michael Anderson, James Anderson and Anthony Anderson, all of Vicksburg; four sisters, Greta Anderson and Stephanie Anderson, both of Vicksburg, Joyce Bell of Stockton, Calif., and Toni Davis of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

Laura E. Volk

Laura E. Volk died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 50.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Volk was the daughter of the late Henry and Ellen J. Ezelle Burns. She retired from Warren Yazoo Mental Health Service after 13 years of service. She was a former member of the Harmony Bluegrass Band.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Burns and Ernest Burns Jr.

She is survived by her husband, David Volk of Vicksburg; a daughter, Allison Volk of Vicksburg; her stepmother, Ethel Burns of Vicksburg; and other relatives, including Juanita Bane of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Don Brown, William Ray, Jeff Stewart, Greg Mosley, Don Antoine, David Reid and Jay Kent.
