Pamela Y. Anderson

Services for Pamela Y. Anderson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cool Springs M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Ms. Anderson died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at her home. She was 39.

She was a teacher’s assistant and bus driver with the Vicksburg Warren School District. She was a member of Cool Springs M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Willie Belle Anderson.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Anderson, Jamie Anderson and Jeremy Anderson, all of Vicksburg; a stepson, Alton Miles of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Gloria Miles of Vicksburg; five brothers, Ronald Anderson, Ed Anderson, Michael Anderson, James Anderson and Anthony Anderson, all of Vicksburg; four sisters, Greta Anderson and Stephanie Anderson, both of Vicksburg, Joyce Bell of Stockton, Calif., and Toni Davis of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

David W. Fite

David W. Fite died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Aspen Inn in Parkland, Fla. He was 95.

A native of Tutwiler, Mr. Fite was the son of the late David Wallace and Courtenay Fraser Fite. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served as district manager for Social Security for a number of years.

He was a Vicksburg resident most of his life and had lived in Pembroke Pines, Fla., for the past six months. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Vicksburg.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Beaudoin Fite of Pembroke Pines; a daughter, Judy Westerdahl of Pembroke Pines; a son, Ray Beach of Atlanta; and five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Bryant, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service in Ward Hall at the church.

Dalton Irby

PATTISON Dalton Irby died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in Austin, Texas. He was 73.

Born and reared in Claiborne County, Mr. Irby had been a longtime resident of Texas, where he had worked for a number of years.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Irby and Hugh Irby.

He is survived by a brother, Leo Irby of Pattison; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and friends, including Al and Yvonne Tena and JoAnn Trenkelbach.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pattison Baptist Church.

Phillips-Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings, Texas, has charge of arrangements.

John Henry Martin

Services for John Henry Martin will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Robbins Funeral Home with the Rev. McKinley Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 6 p.m. today and until the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. He was 69.

A native of Yokena, Mr. Martin was retired from Anderson-Tully. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Lee Martin; six sisters; and three brothers.

He is survived by his sister, Winnie Martin of Vicksburg; a sister-in-law, Exelena Martin; and nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including Charles Williams Jr. of Vicksburg and residents of Carmel Manor.

John Stanley Ogden

DELHI John Stanley Ogden died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004. He was 101.

Mr. Ogden was born in Vicksburg and was a resident of Delhi. He worked 25 years as a truck driver for Chicago Mill and was the overseer of its hunting area. He farmed after his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. A. Ogden and Rissie Lassiter Ogden.

He is survived by a son, Stanley Ogden of Delhi; a daughter, Lorena Pugh of Greenville; a sister, Vera Chevailier of Rayville, La.; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with the Revs. Marion Collier and Neal Cordell officiating. Burial followed at the Delhi Masonic Cemetery.
