[2/4/04]A Vicksburg man died after a wreck on Old Port Gibson Road early this morning, Claiborne County Coroner J.W. Mallett said.

Billy J. Robinson, 35, 113 Amanda Drive, was driving a pickup on the road when the wreck happened at about 12:55, Mallett said.

Robinson’s truck struck an embankment about 20 miles northeast of Port Gibson, Mallett said.

Robinson was alone, Mallett said.

Mallett said he did not know which direction Robinson’s truck was traveling when the wreck happened.

The Claiborne County deputy sheriff who investigated the accident was not available.

Brown and Holley funeral home of Rayville, La., has charge of arrangements, Mallett said.
