Pauline Pullin Allen

OAK GROVE Pauline Pullin Allen died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Riverview Care Center in Bossier City, La. She was 76.

Mrs. Allen was born in Chicot County, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Myrt Pullin and Alma Leona Bonner Pullin; a sister, Lucille Jackson; and four brothers, Bobbie Joe Pullin, Homer Eugene Pullin, Henry Lucian Pullin and Jessie M. Pullin Jr.

She is survived by three sons, Lloyd E. Allen and Marvin Lee Allen, both of Oak Grove, and Robert E. Allen of Eudora, Ark.; two daughters, Linda Armstrong of Monroe and Barbara Rodriguez of Shreveport; one brother, James Edward Pullin of Jena, La.; two sisters, Katie Allen of Kilbourne, La., and Cloteel Keith of Lafitte, La.; and 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Macedonia Baptist Church in Oak Grove with the Revs. Charles Pullin and Mike Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Pallbearers will be Ferrel Albritton, Phillip Pullin, Dale Pullin, Mark Pullin, Tony Rodriguez Jr., Steven Beard and Jerry Beard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Allen, David Lewis, Jason Harper, David Bennett and Ronnie Paxton.

Wilbur Lee Anderson

Wilbur Lee Anderson died today, Feb. 10, 2004, at his home. He was 34.

Mr. Anderson was a resident of Vicksburg and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Anderson; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Maggie Hill Powell.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Powell Anderson of Vicksburg; two brothers, Aaron Harris of Atlanta, Ga., and Lawrence Harris of Vicksburg; five sisters, Barbara Evans, Joyce Harris and Dorothy Harris, all of Vicksburg, Debra Burnett of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Charolette Jones of Garland, Texas; and nieces and nephews.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Helen Clark Allen Dellinger

DECATUR, Ga. Helen Clark Allen Dellinger died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in Decatur, Ga. She was 81.

Mrs. Dellinger was born in Hopkinsville, Ky., to Lonnie Mae Clark and Garner Allen and was reared in Vicksburg. She graduated from Blue Mountain College and worked as a traveler’s aide in Atlanta. She moved with her husband to Decatur in 1958.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar David Dellinger Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Richardson; a son, David Dellinger; one sister, Jean Gann; and nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at H.M. Patterson’s Spring Hill Chapel with the Rev. Donald Gann officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.

Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Henry Lee Johnson

Services for Henry Lee Johnson will be at 3 p.m. today at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Reginald Harris officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Dillion-Chisley Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003 in Los Angeles. He was 24.

A native of Vicksburg, Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry Byrd and Will Johnson; a grandmother, Lula Mae Stevenson; his foster parents, Richard Lee Davis Jr., Lucille Byrd Davis, Ernestine Willis and Laura Turner; and a brother, Michael Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his father, Henry Lee Stevenson of Pearl; his mother, Mary Lorraine Miller of Jackson; two brothers, Barry Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jason Johnson of Vicksburg; three sisters, Lashanna Jackson, Lovenia Ramakonthan and Shanaka Johnson, all of Vicksburg; his grandmother, Josephine Johnson of Vicksburg; and other relatives including the Turner, Bright and Davis families of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Davis, Milton Davis, Malcolm Harris, Robin Gray, Derrick Jackson and Jason Johnson.
