Billy Joe Harrison Jr.
GRAHAM, Texas Billy Joe “Little Billy” Harrison Jr. died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 23.
A native of Vicksburg, Mr. Harrison had lived in Graham, Texas, for the past five months. He had attended Warren Central High School and was a construction worker for E&H Drilling Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mamie Wade; grandparents, Dalton and Bernice “Tuts” Johnson; and a nephew, Jeremy Wade.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa R. Harrison of Vicksburg; a son, Skylar Harrison of Vicksburg; his parents, Billy Joe Harrison Sr. and Alice Harrison, both of Vicksburg; his stepmother, Sylvia Harrison of Vicksburg; four brothers, Timothy Harrison, Thomas Wade, Billy Ryan Harrison and Greg Jeffers, all of Vicksburg; and a sister, Sarah Harrison.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home with Bill Frederick, pastor of Living By The Word Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jo Jo Acuff, Shannon Beswick, Tracy Walker, Robert Watford, Joe Acuff Jr. and Shane Walker.
Sister Mary Doloretta Hebert R.S.M.
NEW ORLEANS Sister Mary Doloretta Hebert R.S.M. died Friday, March 5, 2004, at Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center in New Orleans. She was 79.
Sister Doloretta was a native of Youngsville, La., and was reared in Biloxi. She entered the Sisters of Mercy Sept. 3, 1945, in St. Louis, Mo.
She received her bachelor of science degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She taught first grade at St. Francis Elementary in Vicksburg and at schools in Greenville and Meridian. After retirement, she served as a volunteer teacher at McAuley Education Center in Biloxi, helping Vietnamese immigrants learn English.
Sister Doloretta was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Hebert and Marjorie Lyon Hebert; a brother, Peter Hebert; and a sister, Viola Ladnier.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Bertha Hebert of Biloxi, and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center, 3600 General De Gaulle Drive in New Orleans. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the service at the health-care center.
