Mable Green, Ashley Mitchell and Tracy Davis each had a single to account for the only Natchez hits off winning pitcher Brittany Fuller.

Fuller had a no-hitter through three innings and struck out seven. Honda Griffin took the loss.

Lauren Anderson’s two-RBI triple highlighted a five-run first inning. The Lady Vikes added four more runs in the bottom of the second on a pair of hits and two Natchez errors.

Ashley and Tiffany Fuller each had RBI singles in the second inning. Two Lady Bulldog errors also allowed two Lady Vikes to score as WC took a commanding 9-0 lead after two innings.

With the Lady Vikes leading 11-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Cookie Johnson reached on a one-out single and scored on a Lauren Anderson hit to center field. The ball skipped past Bileigh Lewis, allowing Johnson to end the game by way of the mercy rule.

Johnson and Tiffany Fuller added two hits apiece for WC, which had 10 hits for the game.

The state playoffs begin on April 10, and both Vicksburg and Warren Central will play Gulf Coast teams. One local team will play at home in the first round.
