Jessie B. Foster

TALLULAH Jessie B. Foster died Friday, April 2, 2004, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 92.

A resident of Tallulah, Mrs. Foster was a member of Star of Madison, Chapter No. 57, Order of the Eastern Star, and St. John Missionary Baptist at Mound Project.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Sr. and Eddie Mae Green Wilson; her husband, Lee Foster; four brothers, Richard Wilson, Dave Wilson Jr., Eddie Wilson and Frank Wilson; and two sisters, Pauline W. Parker and Emma W. Flenoy.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Foster of Baton Rouge, La.; a brother, Ceasar Wilson of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mable Parker of Las Vegas, Nev., and Rosa Baulwin Sr. of Vallejo, Calif.; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including Horace Irvin of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at St. John M.B. Church at Mound Project, 2013 Louisiana 602, Tallulah. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Beckwith Golden Gate Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Bart W. LaHatte

Bart W. LaHatte died Friday, April 9, 2004, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. He was 89.

A native of Vicksburg and longtime resident of Redwood, Mr. LaHatte had an interest in farming and served as postmaster for the Redwood Post Office for 11 years.

Mr. LaHatte was an Army veteran of World War II and a Korean War veteran serving in the 81st and 3rd Infantry Divisions.

He was a charter member of Redwood United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart E. and Hazel LaHatte.

Survivors include his wife, Julia M. LaHatte of Redwood; a son, Robert M. LaHatte of Ocean Springs; a daughter, Joanne Kamilewicz of South Portland, Maine; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private services will be under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.

Helen Josephine Reno

Helen Josephine Reno died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. She was 92.

A native of Gibsland, La., Miss Reno had lived in Vicksburg and Edwards for the past six years. She was a seamstress and a farm lady and a member of First Baptist Church in Gibsland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lewis and Clifford Ardella Carter Reno; four brothers, Joseph W. Reno, Allen G. Reno, Robert L. Reno and Harry L. Reno; and three sisters, Mabel O. Reno, Pearl M. Reno and Della N. Reno.

Survivors include a niece, Grace Reno of Vicksburg; three nephews, Robert Reno of Jasper, Ark., Gil Reno of Edwards and Frederick Reno of Baton Rouge, La.; and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Reiber, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at Gibsland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. today until the service at the funeral home.
