Bertha Mae Draper

Bertha Mae Draper died Tuesday, April 21, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 69.

Mrs. Draper was a retired beautician. She was a member of Belmont M.B. Church in Utica, where she was an Adult Choir member, musician and Bible study treasurer .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Draper, and her father, Robert Middleton.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Davenport Middleton of Vicksburg; four sons, Eddie Charles Hunt Sr., James Benjamin Hunt and Roosevelt Hunt, all of Utica, and Christopher Draper of Tallulah; two stepsons; two stepdaughters, Nita Granberry of El Paso, Texas, and Gwendolyn Yates of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Odell F. Allen of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Zoe Anetta Fields

Services for Zoe Anetta Fields will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel A.M.E. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fields died Friday, April 16, 2004, at the Care Center of Clinton. She was 76.

She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, where she served as pianist for a number of years. She was a member of American Legion Tyner-Ford Post No. 213 Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from J.C. Penney as a sales clerk.

Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Mickens Sr. and Shedwick Fields Sr.; her parents, Reese and Lillie B. Preacely; and a son, Shedwick Fields Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Mickens Jr. of Denver and John Fields of Vicksburg; a daughter, Marilyn Lindsey of Fort Washington, Md.; two brothers, Ramadan “Ricky” Preacely and Larry Preacely, both of Chicago; one sister, Viola Johnson of Gary, Ind.; four grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including members of the Burns, Harris, Miles, Preacely and Williams families.

Joan Marveen Bogle Finane

LONGVIEW, Texas Joan Marveen Bogle Finane died Friday, April 16, 2004, in Longview, Texas. She was 82.

Mrs. Finane was a former Vicksburg resident.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William James Finane; and a sister, Jean Bogle.

Survivors include four daughters, Terry Steele of White Oak, Texas, Debbie Finane of Bronson, Texas, Sylvia Berardi of Antioch, Ill., and Mary Elise Lane of Longview; a son, William James Finane Jr. of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; a sister, Virginia Derrick of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Jack Bogle of Loma Linda, Calif.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

A Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Longview with the Rev. Mark Dunne officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Lottie Jordan

TALLULAH Lottie Jordan died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 65.

Born in Yazoo County, Mrs. Jordan had lived in Tallulah for 35 years. She was a housewife and an employee of A.P.I. in Tallulah.

Survivors include four sons, Lamar Harvey of Pascagoula, Clyde Harvey of Waveland, Miss., Tony Harvey of Tallulah and Todd Harvey of Lafayette, La.; two daughters, Olivia Reece of Gautier, Miss., and Robbie Harvey of Pascagoula; a brother, Percy Burrough of McComb; two sisters, Betty Packard of Gulfport and Georgia Ann Brown of Tallulah; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at a later date.
