Carrie Butler Paulding

OAKLAND, Calif. Carrie Butler Paulding died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in Oakland, Calif. She was 82.

Mrs. Paulding is survived by five sons, L.S. Butler of Utica, Oscar Paulding of Aurora, Ill., Johnnie Paulding Jr. of Antioch, Calif., David Paulding of Oakland and Melvin Paulding of Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Bobbie Paulding Matthews and Betty Paulding Picou, both of Oakland, and Linda Paulding Walton of Antioch; a brother, Johnny L. Butler of Berkeley, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services were Friday at Evergreen Baptist Church in Oakland. Burial was in Lafayette, Calif., under the direction of Fouche’s Chapel of Peace in Oakland.
