Richard L. Juda

Richard L. Juda died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

Mr. Juda was born in Buffalo, N.Y., to the late Valentine and Anna Sygnet Juda. He was a retired electrical engineer.

He had served as a member of the Cheektowaga Central High School Board of Education and was a member of the Polish Singing Circle in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rochester, N.Y., and was a member of the Knights of St. John and St. Paul Catholic Church Christmas Choir.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Juda was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Juda of Rochester; two daughters, Diane M. Gawronski of Vicksburg and Deborah A. Powell of Farmington, N.Y.; one son, Donald R. Juda of Mars, Pa.; a sister, Ann Pawlak of Elma, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Farrell officiating.

Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers will be A.J. “Buddy” Dees Jr., George Mayer, Dr. Abdul Bahro, Dr. Dan Edney, Dr. Eugene Ferris and Dr. David Halinski.

Ken Matheson

ROLLING FORK Ken Matheson died Monday, June 28, 2004, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rolling Fork. He was 82.

A native of Cheraw, S.C., Mr. Matheson had been a Rolling Fork resident for the past 32 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He retired as an administrator at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork and was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth B. Matheson.

Survivors include a son, John K. Matheson of Vicksburg; a daughter, Marie Jennings of Litchfield, Conn.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Jessie Floyd “J.F.” Parker

LAKE PROVIDENCE Jessie Floyd “J.F.” Parker died Monday, June 28, 2004, at North Monroe Hospital. He was 96.

Born in Grayson, La., Mr. Parker was a resident of Lake Providence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Parker; his parents, Martin Luther Parker and Mollie Parker; three brothers, Gene Parker, M.L. Parker and Leonard Parker; and three sisters, Mary Dodson, Carlene Fore and Nora Bradley.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances Parker George of Foley, Ala., and Donna Weise of Haskell, Texas; three sons, Walter Parker of Abilene, Texas, and Gary Parker and Ricky Parker, both of Sondheimer; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Northside Church of Christ with V.W. Hayhurst officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wade Parker, Jason Parker, Wayne Parker, Brandon Parker, Tim George, Mark George, Marty Parker and Jess Parker.

Randall Shaun Smith

OAK GROVE Randall Shaun Smith died Saturday, June 26, 2004, in Oak Grove. He was 26.

Born in Delhi, Mr. Smith was a resident of Oak Grove.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Steward.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Smith of Oak Grove; his parents, Dennis “Fuzzy” and Sharon Gail Smith of Oak Grove; a brother, Marcus Smith of Oak Grove; and his grandparents, Doyle and Margaret Smith of Oak Grove and Dump Steward of Pioneer, La.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Fiske Union Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bill Bearden officiating. Burial will be at Ravan Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Morgan, Lance Nugent, Steven Hagan, Ryan Brister, Kyle Clascock and Randy Littleton.
