Angels drop heartbreaker to North Little Rock stars

[7/27/04]The Vicksburg Angels lost their first game in the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional to North Little Rock, Ark., on Monday, 8-7. The team will now have to beat Eagle Pass, Texas, today at 4 p.m. With a victory, the Angels would play North Little Rock again at 6 p.m., and would have to beat the Arkansas team twice to advance to the World Series.
On Monday, the Angels entered the sixth inning down 5-2, but scored five runs to take a 7-5 lead. Little Rock scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to win the game.
Jonathan Clay hit a single, double, triple and had three RBIs to lead the Angels, while Bill McRight had three hits. Kewayne Gaston singled and doubled in the loss.
