Cedric Allen Jr.
Services for Cedric Allen Jr., infant son of Cedric Allen Sr. and Angela Williams of Vicksburg, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial followed under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lavern Allen.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, A’Terrion Smith; a sister, A’Terricka Smith; his maternal grandparents, Martha Williams and Melvin Cox, both of Vicksburg; paternal grandfather, Robert Curtis of Vicksburg; a stepgrandfather, Shelly Hill Sr. of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, cousins.
Willie Earl Dickens
OXFORD Willie Earl Dickens died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at his home in Oxford. He was 61.
Born in Batesville, Mr. Dickens was a member of Mount Zion M.B. Church and worked as a general laborer.
Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Dickens-Coleman of Courtland, Toni Dickens-Blunt of Vicksburg and Arion Dickens-Tate of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Henry Thompson of Batesville, Leon Thompson of Oxford and Bobby Dickens of Marshall, Mo.; six sisters, Sherry Dickens Hall of Courtland, Carnell Denise Dickens Jones, Margie Faye Dickens, Linda Robinson and Mary Ann Dickens, all of St. Louis, Mo., and Beatrice Farr of Memphis; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bluff Springs M.B. Church in Sardis with the Rev. L.C. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Springs Cemetery under the direction of Cooley’s Mortuary Inc. in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Lucille Morna Junkin
DELHI Lucille Morna Junkin died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, in Delhi. She was 83.
Mrs. Junkin was born in Sullivans Hollow, Miss., to the late Charles and Ruby Waltman. She was a resident of Delhi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G. B. Junkin.
She is survived by two daughters, Freda Dianne Humble of Delhi and Helen Junkin DeWitt of Monroe; a son, Clifton Junkin of Delhi; two brothers, Albert Waltman and Calvin Waltman, both of San Antonio, Texas; and five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi. Burial will follow at Faith Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Alden DeWitt III, Johnny Junkin, Roy Junkin, Danny Roberts, Ron Stark, Brant DeWitt and Scott Holley.
Lillie Mae Price Pickens
Lillie Mae Price Pickens died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at River Region Medical Center. She was 68.
Mrs. Pickens was a resident of Vicksburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise Price; and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Pickens of Vicksburg; a son, Chester Pickens of Maywood, Ill.; two daughters, Lydia Pickens of Paris, France, and Karla Pickens of Elgin, Ill.; two sisters, Erma Price Belton of Madison and Betty Price Reddix of Vicksburg; four brothers, Willie Price and Theodore Price, both of Vicksburg, Joe Price of Chicago and George Price of Bossier City, La.; and three grandchildren.
Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
