Vicksburg landscape architect Jeff Richardson, left, and landscape employee Roosevelt Parker run wires through a Leland spruce tree trucked into downtown Vicksburg this morning for display at River Stage Plaza at Washington and Crawford streets. The tree, which is more than 25 feet tall, grew on the Lightcap Boulevard lawn of Juanita Boling, whose house was bought out in the city’s flood buyout program. The tree was being lifted into place by a crane owned by Riverside Construction of Vicksburg. (Brian LodenThe Vicksburg Post)
