Vicksburg National Military Park historian Terry Winschel speaks during the unveiling Tuesday of the Illinois Memorial mural at Vicksburg’s City Front. It is the 11th and final mural unveiled in the first phase of paintings by muralist Robert Dafford. The mural is the third sponsored by a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission.
