Jetty F. Fairbanks
TALLULAH Jetty F. Fairbanks died Thursday, Jan, 13, 2005, at the Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was 82.
Mrs. Fairbanks was a native of Vienna, Austria, and lived in Tallulah for 58 years. She was a retired traffic guard with the Tallulah Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie W. Fairbanks.
She is survived by her son, Archie Fairbanks Jr. of Oxford; three daughters, Patty Watts, Marilyn Bedgood and Margaret Leoty, all of Tallulah; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Silver Cross Cemetery with the Revs. Paul Sabin and John W. Rushing officiating.
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah has charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jared Fairbanks, Wade Watts, Jeff Watts, Cliff Watts, Dan Bedgood, Trey Leoty, Dickie Harris, Kevin Collins, Todd Knight and Erick Cherene.
George Toefel Nohra
BATON ROUGE George Toefel Nohra died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 75.
A Vicksburg native, Mr. Nohra was a veteran and had served in the Army National Guard. He owned Kustom Upholstery in Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Bobbie Farris and Toefel George Nohra; a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Maranto; and a granddaughter, Rachel Jones.
He is survived by four daughters, Kathryn Moran, Patricia Reeves, Tiffany Garrido and Tammy Jones; four sons, George T. Nohra, Ronald Nohra, Mark Shipley and Jamie L. Broadway; four sisters, Evelyn Meronek of Wisconsin and Josephine Fulcher, Delores Coomes and Martha Farris, all of Vicksburg; one brother, David Nohra; and 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Baton Rouge with the Rev. Sam Maranto officiating.
Renaissance Services Inc. of Gonzales, La., has charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Moran, Jonathan D. Nohra, Johnny Reeves, Michael Maranto II, Kelly Garrido and Nicholas G. Catoir.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge or the Lady of the Lake Foundation.
