Clinton Givens

TALLULAH Clinton Givens died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005. He was 85.

Born in Castor, La., Mr. Givens had worked as a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Givens; a brother, Fred Givens; and one son, Michael P. Givens.

He is survived by three sons, Gary Givens of Karnack, Texas, Phillip S. Givens of Kingman, Ariz., and Franck Chris Givens of New Albany; two daughters, Lorraine Holley of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Leigh Ann Givens of Ruston, La.; three brothers, William E. Givens and Jimmy Ray Givens, both of Tallulah, and Mac Neil Givens of Kermit, Texas; three sisters, Merline Plunkett of Kermit, Inez Lollar of Tupelo and Mildred Overless of Anchorage, Alaska; and nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Memorial services were Sunday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating.

Faye Dean Huskey

KOSCIUSKO Faye Dean Huskey died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at her home in Kosciusko. She was 64.

Born in Sondheimer, La., Mrs. Huskey lived for a number of years in Vicksburg and had been a Kosciusko resident since 1988. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Huskey Sr. of Kosciusko; two sons, Jimmy D. Huskey Jr. of Jackson and Skeet D. Huskey of Inglewood, Ohio; a daughter, Debra Rogers of Kosciusko; one sister, Rose D’Angelo of Kosciusko; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Green Acres Memorial Park with the Rev. Sam Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Billy Gene James

BRANDON Billy Gene James died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at his home in Brandon. He was 70.

Mr. James was born in Carrollton and reared in Redwood. He had been a Brandon resident for the past nine years.

He served seven years with the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed by United Press International and the Bureau of Land Management.

Mr. James was a member of Pinelake Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mildred B. James of Brandon; one daughter, Denise Tallant of Brandon; one son, Mike James of Brandon; a brother, Bruce James of Carthage; and three granddaughters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison. Burial will follow at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight and from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the service at the funeral home.
