Betty Jean Rhymes Williams Hagan
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Betty Jean Rhymes Williams Hagan, 71, was called to eternal rest on April 9, 2005, at the Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Hospice Savannah Inc.
Betty Jean was born on Feb. 20, 1934, in Hazlehurst, Miss., and was reared there on Gallitin Street. She had lived in Savannah since 1964. She enjoyed walking at Lake Mayer, flowers, country music and helping others.
Betty Jean was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, S.L. and Gladys Rhymes; son, David Earl Williams; and sister, Mattie Jo Bailey, all of Hazlehurst.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for the loving care and kindness she received from Hospice Savannah Inc. and the Bryan County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Betty Jean is survived by four daughters, Laura Lynn Jeffcoat of Savannah, Renea Hagan of Ellabell, Ga., and Tammy Garrard and Patricia Gooch, both of Brandon; five sons, Jonathan Hagan and Joseph Dixon, both of Savannah, Bruce Williams and Timothy Williams, both of Vicksburg, and James Shannon Williams of Brandon; a brother, Luther Rhymes of Jackson; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons West Chatham Chapel in Savannah.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Westside Memorial Gardens.

Robert E. Redditt Jr.
Services for Robert E. Redditt Jr. will be at 2 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Mr. Redditt died Friday, April 8, 2005, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 80.
Mr. Redditt was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He was retired from Cedar Chemical Company and he was employed by Baker Security Company.
He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Robert E. Redditt III and Edward M. Redditt; one daughter, Joyce A. Redditt; two brothers, Roy Redditt and Elbert Redditt Sr.; one sister, Annie Mae Reed, all of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Warnock, Elbert Redditt Jr., James Wilson, James Keen, Edward Herring and Keith Keen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Kirk, Monte Redditt, Nathan Shipworth, Danny Redditt, James “Bubba” Keen, Willie Shipworth, Joey Redditt, D.W. Lyons and employees of Baker Security Company.
Ada Henry Ringold
Ada Henry Ringold died Sunday, April 10, 2005, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 54.
Mrs. Ringold was a certified nurse’s aide at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was a member of Mount Calvary M.B. Church, where she was in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Henry.
She is survived by two sons, George V. Ringold of Jackson and Kenya N. Ringold of the U.S. Navy in South Carolina; three brothers, William Lee Henry, Willie Earl Henry and Ira Lee Henry, all of Jackson; one sister, George Lula White of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.
