Clyde Dale Drummonds
HAZLEHURST – Clyde Dale Drummonds died Friday, May 6, 2005, at his home in Hazlehurst. He was 70.
Mr. Drummonds was a native of Copiah county where he resided in the Hazlehurst area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Vardaman Drummonds and Adelle Barnett Drummonds.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Drummonds of Hazlehurst; one son, Steve Drummonds of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Pam Verney of Delta Junction, Alaska, and Melissa Jones of Wesson; one brother, Kenneth Drummonds of Jackson; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 today at the First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst. Burial will follow at Hazlehurst City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2:30 this evening at the church.
Evelyn Callery Luster
Evelyn Callery Luster died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 74.
A homemaker, Mrs. Luster was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Daisey Callery; one brother, Robert Callery; and four sisters, Willie Mae Richardson, Louise Freeman, Nancy Callery and Electra Callery.
She is survived by her husband, Walter L. Luster Jr. of Hermanville; three sisters, Naomi Callery O’Neal, Esther Thomas and Alma C. Hayes, all of Fort Worth, Texas; and nieces and nephews.
W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Warren Scott Patrick Sr.
TALLULAH – Warren Scott Patrick Sr. died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 83.
A lifelong resident of Tallulah, Mr. Patrick was a farmer. He was a member of the Madison Police Jury for 25 years and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
He was a major in the Army Air Corps in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Hammond Patrick, and a sister, Arwin P. Wright.
Survivors include one son, Warren Scott “Pat” Patrick Jr. of Tallulah; three daughters, Cheryl Landry of Baton Rouge and Nancy Patrick and Arwin Bascle, both of New Orleans; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bill Echols officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Stuart Moberly, Jackie Varner, Walter Scott, Joe K. Scott, Mitch Hopkins, Williams H. Wright III, Ken Barrett and Eddie Simon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Folk, Billy Post, Edgar Lancaster and Albert Paxton.
