Arlene Roberson Chiles
Services for Arlene Roberson Chiles will be at 10:30 this morning at St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 9:30 this morning until the service at the church.
Mrs. Chiles died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home in Vicksburg. She was 87.
Mrs. Chiles was a native of Vicksburg. She was a member of St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church, where she was president of the usher’s board and depositor of the church building fund.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Chiles; parents, Armean Roberson Sr. and Mattie Nichols; two brothers, Armean “Jake” Roberson Jr. and Oscar Roberson Sr.; three sisters, Josephine Raymond, Beatrice Macfield and Lena Mae Collins.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Flemings of Houston; one grandson, Justin Sowell of Houston; her caregiver, Lena Mae Roberson of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends including the Robinson family of Utica.
William A. Ehrgott
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – William A. Ehrgott died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Saratoga Hospital. He was 95.
Mr. Ehrgott was born in Richmond Hill, Long Island, and spent the winter months in Vicksburg.
He attended Springfield College and was appointed deputy Public Safety commissioner of Saratoga Springs from 1952 to 1964. He later served as the Saratoga County commissioner of jurors for seven years.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason and was a member of the Royal Arch Masons No. 131, York Rite and the Cross of Honor. He was a district deputy high priest and a life member and former officer of Rising Sun Lodge No. 103 Free and Accepted Masons in Saratoga Springs.
A past district deputy grand master of the Saratoga/Warren District of New York State Masons, he served as zone commander of Washington Commandry No. 33. He was patron for several terms of Saratoga Chapter No. 131 Order of the Eastern Star and past grand marshal of the Grand Chapter of New York State. He was also a member of the Order of the Amaranth.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Ehrgott; one son, John Qua Ehrgott, and one sister, Cornelia M. Ehrgott.
He is survived by two grandsons, Jay Ehrgott of Vicksburg, MS and Scot Ehrgott of Jackson; one granddaughter, Stacy Bellinger of Flower Mound, Texas; four great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Inez Ehrgott of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes. Burial will follow in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery.

Laura O’Quinn Wilson
UTICA – Laura O’Quinn Wilson died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Hospice Ministries in Madison. She was 83.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Copiah county. She was a retired transportation driver with Jackson Hinds Comprehensive Health Center in Utica.
Survivors include nine sons; two daughters; three brothers; 30 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Services will be at noon Sunday at Greater White Oak M.B. Church with the Rev. Alonzo McClure officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 this morning until 6 tonight at West Haven Memorial Funeral Home in Utica.
