TRENTON, Tenn. – Funeral services for Mr. James P. Wright, 80, will be held on Monday, May 30, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Yokena Cemetery in Yokena with the Rev. Sam Dunaway of Grace Baptist Church officiating.

Mr. Wright passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tenn. He was a telephone and telegraph lineman for Illinois Central Railroad. He also served in the Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Sibyl Wright; a son, Robert Wright and his wife, Mamie; three grandsons, Nathan, Johnathan and Carter Wright; four sisters, Lillian Stevens, Ruth Jacks, Doris Smith and Betty Lanier; and three brothers, Sam, Elbert and Franklin Wright.
