MAYERSVILLE – David Castle Sr. died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at his home in Mayersville. He was 75.

Maggie Lee Walker Stewart

GREENVILLE – Maggie Lee Walker Stewart died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was 90.

Survivors include one son, Vernell Chesterfield of Chicago; seven daughters, Gertrude Stewart of Kenneth, Mo., and Lenora Stewart, Dixie Ann Stewart and Margaret Stewart, all of Bronx, N.Y., Ora Stewart of Caruthersville, Mo., Daisy Chesterfield of Florida and Mary O. Stewart of Greenville; and other relatives in the Vicksburg area.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul M.B. Church in Greenville with the Rev. Jesse Amos officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the hour of service at the church.

Mitchell L. Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork has charge of arrangements.

Bonnie Turner Stowers

Bonnie Turner Stowers died Monday, June 6, 2005, at Covenant Health and Rehab Center of Vicksburg. She was 89.

A homemaker, Mrs. Stowers was born in Kilbourne, La. She was a Navy seaman first class, serving in World War II. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Vernon Stowers; a sister, Beatrice Hobby; and three brothers, Herman Turner Sr., Clarence Turner and Norwood Turner.

Survivors include three sisters, Lillie Procell of Jennie, Ark., Bernice Nicolini of Lake Village, Ark., and Judy Casali of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Reiber officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the service.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or a favorite charity.
