Four Rolling Fork men, one of them an employee of the victim, were jailed Thursday and face armed robbery and capital murder charges in the death of a Vicksburg construction company owner earlier in the day.

Police theorize their suspects knew that Kenneth “Wink” Williamson, owner of K&W Construction, had cashed a large check Wednesday and they went to his home at 2841 U.S. 61 South that night to rob him.

An empty billfold was found open near Williamson’s body when investigators searched the scene, said Capt. Mark Culbertson, chief of detectives.

Police had been called to the residence, which Williamson shared with one of his brothers, at 6:31 a.m. Another K&W worker found his boss’s body after going to the residence because Williamson did not show up as expected at a job site.

Williamson, found in his bed, was shot several times. Complete autopsy results were pending.
